Short definitionmetaiodobenzylguanidine scan - (pronounced) (meh-tuh-i-oh-doh-BEN-zul-GWAH-nih-deen skan) method for finding neuroendocrine tumors such as neuroblastoma and pheochromocytoma. A small amount of a substance called radioactive metaiodobenzylguanidine is injected into a vein and travels through the bloodstream.
