NeuroQuantology (pronounced: /ˌnʊəroʊ.kwɒnˈtɒlədʒi/) is an interdisciplinary field of study that explores the relationship between quantum physics and neuroscience. The term is a portmanteau of "neurology," the study of the nervous system, and "quantum," referring to the smallest discrete unit of any physical property, often referring to particles of matter and light.

Etymology

The term "NeuroQuantology" is derived from the words "neurology" and "quantum". "Neurology" comes from the Greek words "neuron," meaning nerve, and "logia," meaning study. "Quantum" is derived from the Latin word "quantus," meaning "how much."
