Sandman

Sandman (/ˈsændmæn/) is a mythical character in Western folklore who is said to bring good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of people while they sleep at night.

Etymology

The term "Sandman" is derived from the Norse mythological creature known as "Sandman", who was believed to sprinkle sand in the eyes of children to help them sleep and dream.
