Always (pronunciation: /ˈɔːlweɪz/), from the Old English ealne weg, meaning 'all the way', is an adverb that is not typically used in a medical context. However, it can be used to describe the frequency of a symptom or condition, such as "the patient always experiences pain in the morning."
