Antony Alda (December 9, 1956 – July 3, 2009) was an American actor, screenwriter, and director. He was known for his work in film and television, as well as for being a member of the prominent Alda family.

Early Life

Antony Alda was born in Saint-Julien, France, to actor Robert Alda and his second wife, Flora Marino. He grew up in a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. His half-brother is actor Alan Alda, known for his role in the television series M*A*S*H.

Career

Antony Alda began his acting career in the late 1970s. He appeared in various television shows and films throughout his career. Some of his notable television appearances include roles in Knots Landing, Days of Our Lives, and Melrose Place. He also appeared in films such as Homeboy and National Treasure.

In addition to acting, Alda was also a screenwriter and director. He wrote and directed the film Role of a Lifetime, which was released in 2002. The film starred Scott Bakula and Kathryn Morris.

Personal Life

Antony Alda was married twice. His first marriage was to actress Leslie Clark, with whom he had two children. His second marriage was to actress Gabrielle Tuite.

Death

Antony Alda passed away on July 3, 2009, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 52. The cause of his death was cirrhosis of the liver.
