Ardsley, Pennsylvania
Ardsley, Pennsylvania is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area and is situated approximately 10 miles north of the city center.
Geography
Ardsley is located at 40°7′8″N 75°9′30″W (40.118889, -75.158333). The CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles, all of it land. It is bordered by the communities of Glenside, Roslyn, and Abington.
Demographics
As of the 2010 census, Ardsley had a population of 4,152. The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.5% White, 3.2% African American, 0.2% Native American, 2.6% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.
Education
Ardsley is served by the Abington School District. The district operates one elementary school in the CDP, Ardsley Education Center, which serves students in grades K-6. Secondary students attend Abington Junior High School and Abington Senior High School.
Transportation
Ardsley is served by SEPTA's Regional Rail at the Ardsley railway station. The station is located on the Warminster Line, providing direct service to Center City.
