Bedford County, Pennsylvania
Bedford County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 47,577. The county seat is Bedford. The county was created on March 9, 1771, from part of Cumberland County and named for the Duke of Bedford.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,017 square miles (2,630 km²), of which 1,012 square miles (2,620 km²) is land and 5.0 square miles (13 km²) (0.5%) is water.
