Belvedere Vodka

Belvedere Vodka is a brand of Polish vodka produced and distributed by LVMH. It is named after Belweder, the Polish presidential palace, whose illustration appears on its bottles. It is produced exclusively in Poland in the town of Żyrardów and has worldwide distribution. The brand was launched in the United States in 1996 as a "luxury" liquor and is marketed as the world's first 'super premium vodka.'

History

Belvedere Vodka was first established in 1993 by the Polmos Żyrardów distillery. The facility was constructed in 1910 and was originally known as the 'Dwor Oficyna.' The distillery was given the name 'Belvedere' in homage to the Belweder Palace in Warsaw.

Production

Belvedere Vodka is made from 100% Dankowskie Gold Rye, which can withstand Poland’s harsh winters and is distinctive due to its sweet and soft characteristics. The water used in Belvedere Vodka comes from the distillery's own wells, ensuring a high-quality and consistent final product.

The vodka is distilled four times, a process which the brand claims helps to remove any impurities and gives the vodka a unique taste. The distillation process also ensures that the vodka retains the character of the rye, resulting in a drink with a rich, velvety texture.

Varieties

Belvedere Vodka comes in a variety of flavors, including mango passion, citrus, and black raspberry. The brand also produces a line of macerations which use fruit, spices, and flowers soaked in vodka to create unique flavors.

Awards and recognition

Belvedere Vodka has received numerous awards and accolades for its quality and taste. It was awarded the Gold Medal at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and in 2011, it was rated the #1 Vodka in the "Top 10 Vodkas" by Gayot.
