Breast Cancer Alliance (pronunciation: brest kænsər əˈlaɪəns) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment, and cure.

Etymology

The term "Breast Cancer Alliance" is derived from the English words "breast", referring to the part of the body where the disease originates; "cancer", a disease caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body; and "alliance", indicating a union or association formed for mutual benefit.
