CINAHL (pronounced "sin-ahl", /sɪnɑːl/), an acronym for Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, is an index of English-language and selected other-language journal articles about nursing, allied health, biomedicine and healthcare.

The term "CINAHL" is derived from the initial letters of Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. The term was first used in 1982 when the database was created.
