Cambridge University Library is the main research library of the University of Cambridge in England. History
The origins of Cambridge University Library date back to 1416, when the first recorded donation of books was made by William Loring. The library has grown significantly over the centuries, with major expansions in the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries. The current building, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, was completed in 1934.
