History
The Canadian Health Libraries Association was established in the early 1970s in response to the growing need for a national body that could represent the interests of health libraries and librarians across Canada. Since its inception, CHLA has played a pivotal role in advocating for the importance of library services in the health sector and has contributed significantly to the development of health information management practices in Canada.
