Conimex

Conimex is a Dutch brand of Indonesian cuisine products, including spices, sauces, sambals, nasi, bami and prawn crackers. The brand is owned by Unilever and was founded in 1932. The name Conimex comes from the abbreviation of the original company name: the Conserven Import- en Exportmaatschappij.

History

Conimex was founded in 1932 in Baarn, the Netherlands. The company initially imported products from the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia). After the independence of Indonesia, Conimex started to produce Indonesian products in the Netherlands. In 1996, the brand was acquired by Unilever.

Products

Conimex produces a wide range of Indonesian cuisine products. These include:

  • Spices: Conimex offers a variety of spices used in Indonesian cuisine, such as turmeric, coriander, cumin, and lemongrass.
  • Sauces: The brand produces several types of sauces, including soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
  • Sambals: Conimex's sambals are spicy condiments made from a variety of chili peppers.
  • Nasi and Bami: These are types of Indonesian fried rice and noodles, respectively.
  • Prawn Crackers: Conimex also produces prawn crackers, a popular snack in Indonesia.
