Dactylosoma
Dactylosoma is a genus of parasitic protozoa belonging to the phylum Apicomplexa. Dactylosoma species are small, intracellular parasites that reside within the erythrocytes (red blood cells) of their hosts. The parasites are known for their distinctive "finger-like" projections, which is reflected in the name "Dactylosoma" (from Greek "dactylos" meaning finger and "soma" meaning body).

The asexual phase occurs within the host's red blood cells, where the parasite undergoes multiple rounds of binary fission to increase its numbers.
