Daniel Bennett St. John Roosa (Template:IPA-en; 1838–1908) was an American otolaryngologist and ophthalmologist, known for his significant contributions to the field of medicine.

Etymology

Biography

Roosa was born in 1838 in Bethlehem, New York. He graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 1860. During the American Civil War, he served as a surgeon in the Union Army. After the war, he specialized in diseases of the eye and ear, becoming a leading figure in otolaryngology and ophthalmology.
