ESPN Full Court was a subscription-based out-of-market sports package in the United States that was owned by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. The service provided live coverage of college basketball games from various conferences across the country.

History

ESPN Full Court was launched in the mid-1990s as a way to offer college basketball fans access to games that were not available on local or national television. The service was available through cable and satellite providers and required a separate subscription.

Programming

The package included games from major conferences such as the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big 12 Conference, Big East Conference, Southeastern Conference (SEC), and others. It allowed fans to watch games that were not broadcast on the main ESPN channels.

Availability

ESPN Full Court was available to subscribers in the United States through various cable and satellite providers. It was typically offered as a seasonal package, coinciding with the college basketball season.

Discontinuation

In 2014, ESPN Full Court was discontinued as the network shifted its focus to digital streaming services. The rise of ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app provided fans with more flexible options to watch college basketball games online.
