Emmanuelle Charpentier
Emmanuelle Charpentier is a French microbiologist, geneticist, and biochemist. She is best known for her role in the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology, alongside American biochemist Jennifer Doudna. Emmanuelle Charpentier was born on December 11, 1968, in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France.
