History

Heineken Asia Pacific was founded in 1931 as Malayan Breweries Limited, a joint venture between Heineken and Fraser and Neave. The company initially focused on the production of Tiger Beer, which quickly became a popular brand in the region. Over the decades, the company expanded its operations and product range, establishing breweries in various countries across Asia.

In 1990, the company was renamed Asia Pacific Breweries. It continued to grow its portfolio by acquiring and developing new brands, as well as expanding its market reach. In 2012, Heineken acquired full control of Asia Pacific Breweries, and the company was subsequently renamed Heineken Asia Pacific.
