Kt/V (pronounced "kay tee over vee") is a term used in the field of Nephrology to measure the efficacy of Dialysis treatment in patients with Kidney Disease. The term is derived from three variables: K (dialyzer clearance rate), t (dialysis time), and V (volume of distribution of urea, approximately equal to patient's total body water).
