Psych is an American detective comedy-drama television series created by Steve Franks and broadcast on USA Network with syndication reruns on ION Television. The series stars James Roday Rodriguez as Shawn Spencer, a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department whose "heightened observational skills" and impressive eidetic memory allow him to convince people that he solves cases with psychic abilities. The program also stars Dulé Hill as Shawn's best friend and reluctant partner Burton "Gus" Guster.
Series overview
Psych originally aired from July 7, 2006, to March 26, 2014, running for eight seasons and a total of 120 episodes. The series has also produced three television movies: Psych: The Movie (2017), Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020), and Psych 3: This Is Gus (2021).
