A drinking game is a type of game which involves the consumption of alcoholic beverages. These games vary widely in scope and complexity, with some requiring detailed planning and others only a minimal amount of equipment. This article provides a list of some of the most popular drinking games.

Types of Drinking Games

Card Games

Kings is a popular card-based drinking game. Players take turns drawing cards, and the cards dictate a rule which must be followed.

Circle of Death is another card game where players draw cards and the cards dictate a rule which must be followed.

Dice Games

Beer die is a table-based game played with a single die. The game typically includes two teams of two players each.

Three Man is a dice game that can be played with any number of players. The rules are relatively simple, with the "three man" assigned a variety of drinking tasks.

Endurance Games

Power hour and its variant, Century Club, involve drinking a certain quantity of beer within one hour.

Edward Fortyhands is a game where players duct tape 40-ounce bottles of alcohol to their hands and cannot remove them until they're consumed.

Skill Games

Beer pong is a team-based game where players throw a ping pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in one of several cups of beer.

Flip cup is a team-based game where players must drink their drink and then flip the cup by flicking the rim with their fingers.
