Ludvig Puusepp

Ludvig Puusepp (3 December 1875 – 19 October 1942) was a pioneering Estonian neurologist and neurosurgeon, recognized as one of the founders of modern neurosurgery. He was the first professor of neurosurgery in the world and made significant contributions to the field of neurology and neurosurgery.

Early Life and Education

Ludvig Puusepp was born in Kyiv, then part of the Russian Empire, to an Estonian family. He pursued his medical education at the University of Tartu, where he developed a keen interest in the nervous system. Career
