Maluku (province)

Maluku is a province of Indonesia. It is located in the eastern part of the country, comprising the central and southern regions of the Maluku Islands. The provincial capital is Ambon. Maluku is known for its rich biodiversity, historical significance in the global spice trade, and diverse Indonesian culture.

Geography

Maluku province is made up of numerous islands, the largest of which are Seram, Buru, and Ambon Island. The province is divided into two peninsulas, the Halmahera Peninsula in the north and the Bird's Head Peninsula in the west. The Banda Sea lies to the south and the Seram Sea to the north.
