A Mentee (pronunciation: men-tee) is an individual who is guided or advised by a more experienced or knowledgeable person, known as a Mentor. The term is derived from the Greek mythological character Mentor, who was a friend of Odysseus and advisor to his son Telemachus.

Definition

A Mentee is a person who seeks guidance, knowledge, and advice from a Mentor. The relationship between a Mentor and a Mentee is often a professional one, with the Mentor providing guidance and support to the Mentee in their career or academic pursuits.
