Operations

The service operates three Eurocopter EC135 helicopters, strategically located at bases in Tatenhill Airfield, Strensham Services, and M5 Staverton. These locations enable the air ambulance to reach any part of the Midlands within 19 minutes. Each helicopter is equipped with advanced medical equipment, allowing the onboard paramedics and doctors to provide lifesaving treatment at the scene of an incident and en route to the hospital.

Midlands Air Ambulance missions include responding to road traffic collisions, industrial accidents, sporting injuries, and medical emergencies such as heart attacks and strokes. The service operates 365 days a year, with the helicopters flying from 8 am to sunset.
