Monno Medical College (pronunciation: /ˈmɒnoʊ ˈmɛdɪkəl kɒlɪdʒ/) is a private medical school located in Manikganj, Bangladesh. It was established in 2011 by Monno Welfare Foundation and is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.

Etymology

The name "Monno" is derived from the Bengali word meaning "human". The college was named to reflect its commitment to the welfare of humanity.

History

Monno Medical College was established in 2011 by the Monno Welfare Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and education sectors in Bangladesh. The college was established with the aim of providing quality medical education to students and improving the healthcare sector in the country.

Curriculum

The curriculum at Monno Medical College is based on the guidelines provided by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. The college offers a five-year course leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. The course is divided into four phases, each followed by a professional examination. After successful completion of the course, students are required to complete a one-year internship in the college hospital.
