Nanoparticle Paclitaxel - (pronounced) (NA-noh-PAR-tih-kul PA-klih-TAK-sil) A form of the cancer drug paclitaxel used alone or with other medicines to treat certain types of breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and pancreatic cancer. Nanoparticle paclitaxel may have fewer side effects and work better than other forms of paclitaxel. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. The nanoparticle paclitaxel stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and can kill them. It's a kind of taxane. Also referred to as ABI-007, Abraxane, Paclitaxel Albumin-Stabilized Nanoparticle Formulation and Protein-bound Paclitaxel
