Nereocystis is a genus of kelp that belongs to the family Laminariaceae. It is a notable marine algae found primarily in the cold waters of the northern Pacific Ocean. Characteristics

Nereocystis forms dense underwater forests that provide habitat and food for a diverse range of marine species.
