Nirvana (nir·va·na)
Nirvana (/nɪrˈvɑːnə/, /-ˈvænə/, /nər-/; Sanskrit: निर्वाण, Pali: nibbana) is a term used in various Indian religions to describe a state of perfect quietude, freedom, highest happiness along with it being the liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Etymology
The term Nirvana comes from the root meaning 'to blow out' and refers to the extinguishing of the fires of greed, hatred, and delusion.
