non-AIDS-defining cancer - type of cancer that is more likely to occur in people infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) than in people who are not infected. Non-AIDS-defining cancers include Hodgkin's lymphoma and cancers of the mouth, throat, liver, lungs and anus. In addition to HIV infection, other factors such as B. older age, infection with other viruses (eg. HPV or hepatitis B or C virus) and heavy alcohol or tobacco use increase the risk of developing a non-AIDS-defining cancer. Also called NADC
