Northwell Health is a non-profit health care provider based in New York, United States. It is the largest healthcare system in New York and one of the largest in the nation. Northwell Health provides a wide range of health services, including hospital care, primary care, cancer care, cardiology, neurology, and emergency services. History

Northwell Health was founded in 1997 as North Shore-Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Health System when North Shore Health System and LIJ Medical Center merged. The merger was aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services across the region. In 2015, the health system was rebranded as Northwell Health to better reflect its mission and the broad geographic reach of its services.

Facilities

Northwell Health operates more than 23 hospitals and 700 outpatient facilities, including the renowned North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
