An obstacle is an object, thing, action or situation that causes an obstruction. Different types of obstacles include physical, economic, biopsychosocial, cultural, political, technological and military.

Physical obstacles

Biopsychosocial obstacles are factors that hinder progress in the areas of biology, psychology, and social interaction. These can include health conditions, mental health issues, and social inequality.

Cultural obstacles

Cultural obstacles are factors that hinder progress due to cultural differences or misunderstandings. These can include language barriers, cultural norms, and societal expectations.

Political obstacles

Political obstacles are factors that hinder progress due to political issues or conflicts. These can include political instability, corruption, and policy disagreements.

Technological obstacles

Technological obstacles are factors that hinder progress due to technological issues or limitations. These can include lack of access to technology, outdated technology, and technological failures.

Military obstacles

Military obstacles are factors that hinder progress due to military conflicts or issues. These can include wars, military occupations, and military strategies.
