Parkinsonia microphylla

Parkinsonia microphylla, also known as Yellow Paloverde, is a species of flowering plant in the Fabaceae family. It is native to the Sonoran Desert in the Southwestern United States and Northwestern Mexico.

Description

Parkinsonia microphylla is a small tree or large shrub that typically grows to a height of 5–7.6 meters (16–25 ft). It has a distinctive green bark and small leaves, which are reduced to tiny leaflets to conserve water. The plant is deciduous, shedding its leaves during dry periods.
