Peacock is an over-the-top media service owned and operated by NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast. The service primarily features content from NBCUniversal studios and other third-party content providers, including television series, films, news, and sports programming.
History
Peacock was officially announced by NBCUniversal on January 14, 2019, and was named after the NBC logo, which is a stylized peacock. The service launched on July 15, 2020, with early access provided to Xfinity customers on April 15, 2020.
Content
Peacock offers a variety of content, including:
- **Television Series**: Classic and current series from NBCUniversal's extensive library, including shows from NBC, USA Network, Syfy, Bravo, and more.
