The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) is a conservatoire in London, United Kingdom. It is a constituent college of the University of London and one of the leading music institutions in the world. The Academy was founded in 1822 by John Fane and Nicolas-Charles Bochsa.
History
The Royal Academy of Music was established in 1822 to provide professional training for musicians. It received its Royal Charter in 1830. The Academy has a long history of producing distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions to the field of music.

The Academy is located in Marylebone, London. The main building is a Grade II listed building and includes performance spaces, practice rooms, and a library. The Duke's Hall is one of the primary performance venues within the Academy.
