History
Sabra was founded by Zohar Norman, an Israeli immigrant, and Yehuda Pearl, a businessman. The company initially started as a small operation, producing and selling fresh, authentic Mediterranean dips and spreads in the local market. In 2005, the company was acquired by Strauss Group, a multinational food products manufacturer based in Israel. Later in 2007, PepsiCo joined as a partner, owning 50% of the company. This partnership helped Sabra to expand its reach and increase its market share in the United States.
Products
Sabra offers a wide range of products, including various flavors of hummus, guacamole, tzatziki, salsa, and other Mediterranean-inspired dips and spreads. The company is committed to using high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes to create its products. Facilities
Sabra operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Colonial Heights, Virginia. The facility, which opened in 2010, is the largest hummus manufacturing plant in the world. It is responsible for producing the majority of Sabra's products for the U.S. market.
