Sibel Siber (born 13 December 1960) is a Turkish Cypriot politician, physician, and writer. She served as the first female Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus from June 2013 to September 2013. Siber is also known for her contributions to the field of medicine and her active role in the political landscape of Northern Cyprus.

Early Life and Education

Sibel Siber was born in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. She completed her primary and secondary education in Nicosia before pursuing higher education in medicine. Siber graduated from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, where she specialized in internal medicine.

Medical Career

After completing her medical education, Siber returned to Northern Cyprus and began her career as a physician. She worked in various hospitals and clinics, gaining recognition for her dedication and expertise in internal medicine. Siber has also been involved in numerous medical associations and has contributed to medical literature through her writings and research.

Political Career

Sibel Siber entered politics as a member of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP). She was elected to the Assembly of the Republic in 2009. Siber's political career reached a significant milestone when she was appointed as the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus in June 2013, following the resignation of İrsen Küçük.
