St George's, University of London (SGUL) is a medical school located in Tooting, South London, and is a constituent college of the University of London. It is the UK's only university dedicated to medical and health sciences education, training, and research. History
St George's origins can be traced to the establishment of St George's Hospital at Hyde Park Corner in 1733. The medical school was formally established in 1834, making it one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the United Kingdom. In 1980, the medical school moved from Hyde Park Corner to its current location in Tooting, South London, to be co-located with St George's Hospital.
