Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (pronounced: [uniˈvɛrsiti ˈtʊŋku ˈabdul raˈhman]; etymology: Named after the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman) is a non-profit, private university in Malaysia.

History

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman was established in 2002 as a not-for-profit private university providing affordable quality education. It is one of the premier universities in Malaysia.

Campuses

The university has two main campuses, one in Kampar, Perak and the other in Sungai Long, Selangor.

Faculties

The university comprises nine faculties, three academic centres, three academic institutes, one institute of postgraduate studies and support units.

Courses

The university offers more than 110 programmes from Foundation Studies to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees in fields such as Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Social Science, Arts, Science, Medicine and Chinese Studies.

Affiliations

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
