A rare genetic disorder with symptoms similar to Wolfram syndrome

Genetics

Clinical Features

• Optic Atrophy: Progressive loss of vision due to degeneration of the optic nerve is a common feature.

• Neurological Symptoms: These can include ataxia, dementia, and other signs of neurological degeneration.
• Endocrine Abnormalities: Patients may have hypogonadism or other hormonal imbalances.

Management

There is currently no cure for Wolfram-like syndrome, and treatment is primarily supportive. Management strategies may include:
