The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is an international, non-governmental organization that represents the engineering profession worldwide. Established in 1968, WFEO is recognized by the United Nations and other international bodies as a key voice for engineering.
History
The WFEO was founded in 1968 under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The organization was created to address global challenges through engineering and to promote the role of engineers in sustainable development.
Objectives
The primary objectives of WFEO include:
