Yazdani Bakery was established in 1953 by Meherwan Zend, an immigrant from Iran. The bakery was named after the Yazdani family, who were the original owners of the property. The bakery has been passed down through generations and is currently run by Zend's grandson, Parvez Zend.

Products

Yazdani Bakery offers a wide range of baked goods, including bread, cookies, pastries, and cakes. They are particularly known for their Brun Pao, a type of Indian bread, and Mawa Cake, a traditional Iranian cake made with mawa (dried milk) and flavored with cardamom.

Location

Yazdani Bakery is located in the Fort area of Mumbai, near the Bombay Stock Exchange. The bakery is housed in an old, colonial-style building that has been preserved in its original state.

Recognition

Yazdani Bakery has received numerous awards and recognition for its quality products and service. In 2010, it was awarded the Times Food Award for Best Bakery in Mumbai. The bakery has also been featured in several travel and food shows, including Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
