Swaziland (pronounced: /ˈswɑːzɪlænd/), officially known as the Kingdom of Eswatini, is a country in Southern Africa.

Etymology

The name "Swaziland" is derived from the 19th-century King Mswati II, of the Swazi people. In 2018, the country officially changed its English name to "Eswatini", which means "land of the Swazis" in the Swazi language.

Geography

Swaziland is a landlocked country bordered by South Africa to the west and Mozambique to the east. It is one of the smallest countries in Africa, with a diverse range of climates and topographies.
