2-Methoxyestradiol (pronounced as two-meth-oxy-es-tra-diol) is a natural metabolite of estrogen that is known to inhibit the growth of rapidly dividing cells and angiogenesis. It is also known by its chemical name, 2-MeOE2.

Etymology
