Mechanism of Action[edit]

It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, which leads to the interruption of cell wall synthesis and ultimately causes bacterial cell death. This mechanism is similar to other beta-lactam antibiotics.

Resistance[edit]
