Childhood cancer is very rare and can differ from adult cancer in the way it grows and spreads, how it is treated, and how it responds to treatment. The most common types of pediatric cancer are leukemia, brain and spinal cord tumors, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms' tumor (a type of kidney cancer), retinoblastoma, and bone and soft tissue cancer.
