condyloma acuminata - (pronounced) (KON-dih-LOH-muh uh-KYOO-mih-NAY-tuh) A raised growth on the skin around the outside of the anus caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV can spread through skin-to-skin contact, usually during oral, anal, or genital sex with an infected partner. Condyloma acuminata often appear as small, tan, gray, or skin-colored bumps that may clump together. They are usually painless but can get large and cause itching and bleeding. Sometimes condyloma acuminata doesn't cause any symptoms, so a person may not know they have it. Condyloma acuminata may recur after treatment. People who have had condyloma acuminata are at an increased risk of developing anal cancer. Also called a perianal wart
