Ethinylandrostenediol

Ethinylandrostenediol (pronunciation: eh-thin-yl-an-dros-ten-e-diol) is a synthetic, steroidal estrogen and a derivative of androstenediol. It is specifically a derivative of 17α-ethynylestradiol (ethinylestradiol) with a hydroxyl group at the C3 position and a hydrogen at the C17 position.

Etymology
