John Driskell Hopkins (born May 3, 1971) is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of the Zac Brown Band, where he plays multiple instruments and contributes to the band's vocal harmonies.
Early Life
John Driskell Hopkins was born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in Gainesville, Georgia. He developed an interest in music at an early age, learning to play the guitar and bass guitar. Hopkins attended Florida State University, where he studied theater and continued to pursue his passion for music.
Career

Before joining the Zac Brown Band, Hopkins was involved in various musical projects. He played in several local bands and worked as a record producer.
Zac Brown Band
In 2005, Hopkins joined the Zac Brown Band, a country music group founded by Zac Brown. As a member of the band, Hopkins plays multiple instruments, including the bass guitar, guitar, and banjo. He also provides vocal harmonies and has co-written several of the band's songs.
The Zac Brown Band has released multiple successful albums, including The Foundation, You Get What You Give, and Uncaged. The band has won several awards, including Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards.
