The South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) is a National Health Service (NHS) ambulance services trust that provides emergency medical services to the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire. History

The South Central Ambulance Service was formed on 1 July 2006, following the merger of four ambulance trusts: the Berkshire Ambulance Service, Buckinghamshire Ambulance Service, Hampshire Ambulance Service, and Oxfordshire Ambulance Service. This consolidation was part of a nationwide reorganization of ambulance services in England to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Operations

SCAS operates a fleet of emergency vehicles, including ambulances, rapid response vehicles, and specialist units. The service is responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing pre-hospital care, and transporting patients to hospitals.
